Alchemystar walked over to his deputy who was arranging patrols. "im going to lead the next hunting patrol." he said with athority. "We will be meeting by the camp entrance." he said as he walked over to wait for the rest of his clanmates

Alchemystar stood by the entrance and flicked his tail in welcome as his warriors walked up to him. "Well if we are all ready we can go." he said and turned to face the entrance to the camp. He took off in a sprint running over the moor the wind buffeting his fur and the scents of his territory flowing through him.

sunnyfeather walked out of her den to her leaders to wait fro his return

He could hear the light sounds of his warriors running behind him. "I can scent a rabbit up ahead!" he said to them and he came to a halt. He got into a hunter's crouch as the warriors around him took their places next to him. Some rabbits required more than one cat to catch it. This was one of those times. This rabbit was large and plump. His stomach let out a gurlge just looking at it. He flexed his muscles and took off after it. He landed on its shoulders as it let out a squeek. It took off from underneath him. "Fox dung!" he hissed as he chased after it. His warriors already ahead of him. He made a turn over a small hill hoping to catch the rabbit on the other side. To his luck he saw them round the hill. He lunged his teeth and claws bared and he hit his pray head on. He bit down on its neck and the rabbit stopped struggling under him. He nodded to his warriors and they picked it up. "Nice work everyone." he said panting. He started to walk as two of the warriors carried the rabbit behind him. 'I should of had it on the first try...' he thought to himself. 'the rabbit was larger than me...so it got right out from under me...' he thought angrily. Alchemystar was a strong and powerful leader, one of the youngest leaders of all the clans, but he was smaller than an average sized apprentice. He shook his head clearing his thoughts. 'Many cats miss prey, and you got it the second time...its not like it got away..' he thought and held his head and tail high with pride as they walked back into the camp with their large catch. He looked over at the fresh kill pile. "It seems today was a very good day for hunting." he said noticing how full it was. He walked up onto the highledge. "Today the clan shall eat until their pelts stretch!" he laughed. "There is much fresh kill today." He turned to walk into his den and almost ran into Sunnyfeather. "What are you doing?" he asked confused. His fur was puffed out with embarrasment for being suprised.

"Every cat has a destiny...and it lies in the paws of Starclan..." Amberfeather's last words to sunnyfeather wispered in the room like a quiet wind.

"remember sunnyfeather..." Amberfeather said so that only sunnyfeather could hear. "No one must know of me speaking to you...And do not mention me to him.."

Alchemystar's fur stood on end and he let out a shiver. "Did you say something?" he asked a little shaken by the light eriee sound.
